The Alice Longstaff Collection and Jack Uttley Photo Library have both very generously supplied us with images for our use. They are an invaluable source of information and support.

Many of the images given to us by individuals were originally taken by Alice Longstaff, who later took over Westerman’s, who seem to have been the first photographers in Hebden Bridge, beginning during the latter 19th century.
