Volunteer Jefferson Hammond has taken about twenty photographs of old Hebden Bridge, kindly donated to us by the Alice Longstaff Collection, and taken modern day versions of the same photographs.

Jefferson’s meticulous attention to details has assured his versions are as close to the originals as possible, that is without access to old cameras and vantage points from buildings, which no longer exist.

This fascinating PowerPoint presentation gives a real feel for change that has taken place between then and now. It will grace our website over the coming months.
