CRAG STORIES - A guided heritage walk around hardcastle Crags starting at the Blue Pig to Gibson Mill and back. Incorporating folklore, industrial history, oral history and natural history. Starting at 11:00 am Saturday, 11 September 2011. All welcome, children over 7 and dogs on a lead.
Douglas’s father was a fireman from 1903 to 1936 and he made a list of all the fires in that period. He took part in the changeover from horse drawn wagons to motor vehicles. There are various documents relating to his life in the Fire Brigade.
Wild Rose Heritage and Arts is a community group which takes it's name from the area in which we are located - the valley ("den") of the wild rose ("Heb") - Hebden Bridge which is in Calderdale, West Yorkshire.
